Site Update

6/20/10 A bunch of Astros prospects to report... Jiovanni Mier, Jason Castro, Tanner Bushue, Jonathan Meyer, and Brandt Walker. Also quite a few 2010 Debuts from Tyler Ladendorf, Grant Green, Ari Ronick, Jordan Pacheco, Jason Stoffel, Ben Paulsen, Johermyn Chavez, Tim Wheeler, Rex Brothers, Wade Miley, Kyle Seager, Ryan Wheeler, and Rich Poythress. Also 2010 Topps Debut A All-Star autographs from Brian Kemp, Jose Alvarez, Kyle Jensen, JD Martinez, and Chase Austin.

It looks like Jason Castro got the call up the Majors this evening. His MLB Debut will be on Tuesday against the Giants. Looking forward to picking up a few tickets from that game to add to my ticket collection.

6/9/10 Some more stuff to report today... 2010 Topps Debut additions to my set from Angels prospects Mike Trout, Tyler Skaggs, and Garrett Richards. Debuts from Cubs prospect Hak-Ju Lee and Cardinals top prospect Shelby Miller. And additional debut set cards from Kyle Conley, Robbie Weinhardt, Casper Wells, Brett Pill, Brock Bond, and James Jones. I also have some graphs back from Mariners prospects Dennis Raben, Gabriel Noriega, and Steven Baron followed up by Twins prospect Ben Revere. More to come soon...

6/6/10 Behind in my updates here lately so I have some serious catching up to do. Some recent stuff... signed 2010 Topps Debut cards for my set... Nick Franklin, Ian Krol, Myrio Richard, Shaver Hansen, Zach Braddock, and Patrick Schuster. Some additional stuff from A's prospect Max Stassi, Rays prospect Jake McGee, newly called up Orioles prospect Chris Tillman, Orioles third base prospect Josh Bell, Cubbies prospect Logan Watkins, and Cardinals catching prospect Robert Stock.

The most viewed scans for May were Joe Mauer and his bazillion dollar contract, Rangers prospect Justin Smoak, Orioles prospect Chris Tillman, Marlins prospect Kyle Skipworth, and Astros prospect Jason Castro. It also looks like Marlins super prospect Mike Stanton is getting the call to the majors. This is where the hype meets the road I guess you could say. Stanton has been leading the minors in home runs and has been walking a lot so it doesn't look like he has too much left to prove at double A.

5/10/10 Updated the most viewed pages for April... Red Sox pitcher Clay Buchholz, New York Yankees prospect Jesus Montero, and Washington Nationals prospect Chris Marrero led the way for April followed by Baltimore Orioles prospect Brandon Erbe and Kansas City Royals prospect Mike Moustakas.

5/9/10 The Mother's Day update edition... hope all of you spent some time with your moms without whom it's doubtful any of you would be here. Some stuff this week... Mariners prospects Alex Liddi and Michael Pineda. Cardinals former first round pick Lance Lynn. Now Royals prospect Edgar Osuna as well Rays prospects Kyle Lobstein and Jake McGee. No new Topps Updates this week but I'm still hustling on that front. Later.

5/2/10 Some 50/50's back in the mail this week... some from Orioles prospects Brandon Snyder, Chris Tillman, and Jake Arrieta. One cool USA patch from recently called up Rangers prospect Justin Smoak. A bunch of 2010 Topps Debut back signed... Craig Kimbrel, Jason Castro, Ethan Martin, Garrison Lassiter, Luke Murton, Jimmy Paredes, Graham Stoneburner, Andrew Doyle, Robbie Erlin, Robbie Ross, Jose Alvarez, Carlos Paulino, Kyle Skipworth, and Chris Dominguez. You can see my 2010 Topps Debut progress, long ways to go but it's looking good so far. Thanks to Derek, Jeff, Cherine, and Brian for their help on these 50/50's.

4/25/10 Finishing off my 2009 50/50's with stuff from Orioles prospects Ryan Ouellette, Jake Renshaw, Billy Killian, Brandon Waring, Tyler Henson, Brandon Snyder, and Billy Rowell. Now for THIS year's 50/50's... one from San Diego Padres top draft pick Donavan Tate and a couple of 2010 Topps Debuts for my set... Phillies prospect Leandro Castro, Phillies prospect Sebastian Valle and Pirates prospects Jesus Brito and Evan Chambers. I have a new 2010 Topps Debut set page that I have a ton of cards out for right now. I'll be working on this throughout the season and I should have some extras to trade with once I know more what I'm going to need. Also added a new site to my links... Szink Autographs, check it out, hopefully it'll be updated regularly soon... *hint*hint*

4/18/10 More stuff up today... Cardinals prospect Deryk Hooker, Luis De La Cruz, and DiMarcus Ingram. Brewers prospect Zach Braddock. Also, some Orioles prospects... Xavier Avery, L.J. Hoes, and Jake Arrieta. Finally, autographs with Yankees fizzling prospect Andrew Brackman.

I've been spending some time looking around the web and it's surprising to see how few autograph websites are out there now. There used to be a new crop of sites pop up every year and maybe one or two would carry over a few years but it seems things have really dropped off for some reason. The Bonus is still going strong of course and Chad is still kickin ass at Sport Autos TTM but they just don't make them like they used to... Mac Maroon style. People used to take pride in doing a well done site but now anyone with a photobucket thinks they have a site. "Dude, check out my site... I mean my photobucket." It's become the fast food substitute for taking the time to display your collection, help other collectors, and give your thoughts on the hobby. 4/10/10 Still catching up with 50/50's from last year. I'm about half way through now I think. Anyways, autographs from Brewers prospect Caleb Gindl, now A's prospect Shane Peterson, Cardinals minor leaguers Thomas Eager and Adam Reifer, Brewers former 1st rounder Jeremy Jeffress, and Astros minor leaguers Brad James, Mitch Einertson, Collin DeLome, and Yorman Bazardo.

4/6/10 Trying to get back into the swing of things here. I've had some serious health problems that have kind of slowed me down but there's nothing quite like baseball in the spring! I have a ton of updates still to do from last year, lots of scanning to do so I'm starting to catch up. I'm also going to get some mail out here shortly. A couple 50/50 successes from last year with Giants prospect Brandon Crawford, now Pirates prospect Tim Alderson, and Nationls prospect Derek Norris.
